The HR Unit within UNDP South Africa is primarily charged with the responsibility to provide enablement and administration support to various UN agencies with an overall staff complement of 116 on fixed term contract and 58 on service contract within South Africa.
The unit provides the specialised services in the area of:
- Recruitment, Selection and Placement
- Performance Management and Career Development
- Employee Relations
- Advise on HR policies and procedures
- Personnel Administration
Accountability for proactive management as well as motivation of team members is firmly vested in line management of all respective agencies to ensure the existence of effective employer and employee relations through clear, open and structured communication.
